International Youth Day Celebration in District 1
On International Youth Day, the District 1 Youth Advisory Board achieved monumental success in its endeavors to assist underprivileged families within our locale. Their tireless dedication and effort culminated in raising a staggering sum exceeding $2,400. This financial boost facilitated the distribution of more than 800 backpacks brimming with crucial school accessories.
A Day for the youth
With the overwhelming participation of more than 30 organizations and an allocation of over 500 book bags bursting with supplies, we are confident that there's a place for everyone here. We invite you to share in our joy as we dedicate a day to the vibrant young souls of our community, surrounded by elected officials, nonprofits, and community organizations.
We proudly announce our collaboration with 30 organizations across Long Island and our neighboring communities to distribute free backpacks and school supplies to needy families. Let's come together for Brentwood, Central Islip, and North Bay Shore to ensure they have the best possible start to the school year!
