Youth Day

On International Youth Day, the District 1 Youth Advisory Board organized a successful event aimed at supporting needy families in our community. Through their dedicated efforts, they raised an impressive sum of over $2,400, enabling them to distribute more than 800 backpacks filled with essential school supplies. 

The District 1 Youth Advisory Board collaborated with over 30 esteemed organizations from across Long Island to distributed over 500 book bags filled with essential school supplies. This event, which was a milestone in Brentwood, Central Islip, and North Bay Shore, offers a unique opportunity for young individuals to engage with elected officials, nonprofits, and community leaders. Together, we stood firm in our belief that our community deserves better.
